Remote New Patient Scheduler - BJC HealthCare : Job Details

The Referral Specialist (Access Center) is responsible for managing a high volume of referral orders in the electronic health record and making outbound calls to patients to schedule new patient appointments. This position serves as the initial point of contact for patients seeking to establish care with a BJCMG primary care provider. This position also utilizes an electronic health record to validate and capture clinical and financial information, contributing to the coordination of patient care. Responsibilities Manages a high volume of referral orders in electronic health record; makes outbound calls to schedule new patient appointments for patients without a PCP (primary care provider); manages incoming calls from multiple channels (BJCMG website, BJC website, vaccine clinics, employee clinics, etc.) for patients without a PCP who need to schedule a visit with a PCP; follows protocols for physician selection; schedules vaccine appointments.
