ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Maintains proficiency with all monitor equipment and procedures performed at Mercy. One Iowa Heart Center as needed. Screens patient's medical record for appropriate diagnosis and orders for procedures. Instructs and educates patients regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure. Performs Holter Monitor testing according to established protocols. Performs Holter Monitor scanning according to established procedures, provides heart rhythm analysis of electrocardiograms recorded on monitor. Makes general interpretation of arrhythmias; identifies adverse arrhythmias and informs nurse or physician. Documents symptoms, records monitor strips, & routes reports to the appropriate doctor for interpretation Transports, ambulates, and transfers patients as needed Accurately and completely documents in EHR and billing system in a timely manner.
