We are looking for a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in enhancing and supporting our development, QA, and production infrastructure. This pivotal role ensures high system availability, automates deployments, and optimizes performance across all environments. The ideal applicant has robust experience in both Windows and Linux server administration, expertise in managing CI/CD pipelines, and proficiency in Atlassian Data Center products.

Rate: $50 - $60 / hr. w2

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance and support the CI/CD pipeline across development, QA, and production environments.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
• Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack including OS, network, web server (Apache/Tomcat), and application layer.
• Manage Atlassian Data Center products (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, etc.) including upgrades, updates, and migrations.
• Maintain patching schedules and implement Windows patch rollouts with minimal downtime.
• Participate in a Tier 2-3 on-call rotation for critical systems ensuring rapid incident response.
• Support deployment of Java applications and manage runtime environments.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and IT teams to enhance automation, monitoring, and reliability.

Experience Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Over 3 years of experience in a DevOps or Systems Engineering capacity.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
• Experience with Apache and Tomcat configuration and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and diagnosing network issues.
• Experience managing Atlassian Data Center products in production settings.
• Windows patch management experience through WSUS/SCCM or equivalent.
• Comfortable with a 24/7 on-call rotation for production systems.
• Familiarity with Java application setup and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, HiTech, HL7).
• Experience with Docker or other containerized application frameworks.
• Familiarity with Redis and messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation tasks.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will influence pay rate. The listed pay range refers to W2 hourly rates; other employment options may yield different pay. W2 employees at Eliassen Group who work 30 or more hours weekly are eligible for a full benefits package.
