Remote Configuration Management Specialist - GovCIO : Job Details

Overview

GovCIO is eager to welcome a skilled Configuration Management Specialist to support our client's critical contract needs. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and invites candidates from the Washington, DC area.

Responsibilities

• Manage and uphold the integrity of software products throughout the project lifecycle.

• Administer internal websites, edit scripts, and prepare comprehensive documentation for software releases.

• Design, execute, and refine configuration plans to enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with supervisors and analysts to ensure alignment across teams.

• Prepare thorough configuration documentation and oversee the management of configuration items.

• Implement and manage ServiceNow Discovery to automate the identification and tracking of IT assets effectively.

• Ensure robust data governance and clearly define Configuration Items (CIs), while nurturing stakeholder relationships.

• Lead the tracking and management of update sets to enable controlled and efficient deployment of system changes.

• Maintain data integrity and provide support to IT operations in alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of configuration management experience or equivalent experience.

• At least 8 years of hands-on experience in configuration management or a related domain.

• Proven capability in managing complex IT projects, with proficiency in ServiceNow CMDB configuration management tools.

• Demonstrated expertise in ServiceNow (SNow) and ServiceNow Discovery is essential.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders.

• Proficiency in MS Office products is required.

• Strong writing skills to document processes and procedures clearly.

• Clearance Requirement: Candidates must be able to maintain a HUD public trust clearance.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range reflects the expected salary for this position at the start of employment. However, the offered base pay may vary based on several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package may also encompass additional compensation elements, which will be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, the employee will be in an at-will position and GovCIO reserves the right to modify the base salary, or any other payment or compensation program, at any time.

USD $81,850.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
