Job Description :

Akkodis is seeking a Reliability Test Engineer for a Contract to Hire job with a client in Greensboro NC 27420 (Hybrid). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the Manufacturing industry is a must.

Rate Range: $35/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute mechanical and electro-mechanical testing for fuel dispensers, payment systems, and assemblies.
  • Develop and implement detailed test plans, procedures, and test setups.
  • Conduct environmental, accelerated life (ALT/HALT), and regulatory compliance testing (UL, IEC, ASTM, etc.).
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and support FRACAS processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Design, QA, Reliability, Regulatory, Manufacturing).
  • Analyze test data using statistical tools to identify failure modes and validate design robustness.
  • Contribute to test lab capability upgrades, safety improvements, and test automation initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians, promoting testing best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in test engineering, validation, or product reliability.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and environmental testing.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, data analysis (e.g., Minitab, JMP), and failure mode documentation.
  • Familiar with compliance standards: UL, ASTM, IEC, ATEX.
  • Knowledge of DAQ systems, PLCs, and test automation.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred: Experience with FRACAS, DFT principles, and ASQ CRE certification.
