Are you interested in analyzing and predicting the reliability of military systems and equipment? Collins is seeking an experienced Reliability & Maintainability Engineer with extensive practical experience working with electronic and mechanical systems for military applications. Responsibilities include providing R&M support to new development programs, reliability and maintainability predictions, analyses, testing, and demonstrations.

Responsibilities include:
  • Conduct aerospace Reliability and Maintainability analysis.
  • Support R&M Program Plan Reliability Predictions following MIL-HDBK-217 and/or 217PLUS standards.
  • Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), reliability testing (HALT, RET, ESS, HASS), and root cause analysis.
  • Manage FRACAS, including root cause analysis and design improvements.
  • Predict reliability of military systems and identify potential failure modes.
  • Ensure adherence to customer reliability standards and guidelines.
  • Identify early R&M issues to reduce cost and schedule risks.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in STEM or 6 years relevant experience if no degree; or advanced degree in a related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
  • Experience with Reliability and Maintainability analysis, circuit and mechanical/electrical system analysis.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with aircraft or electronic systems, avionics maintenance, BIT design, and diagnostics development.

Additional Information:

This role can be hybrid, based in Colorado Springs, CO or Cedar Rapids, IA. Salary range: $66,000 - $130,000, based on experience and qualifications. RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Application window approximately 40 days from posting date.
