We are seeking a Reliability Engineer – Mechanical Fixed Equipment to join the Pensacola, Florida team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our Mechanical Integrity Program through effective inspection, maintenance, and reliability strategies. You will leverage industry codes, risk-based inspection (RBI), and PCMS software to ensure the optimal performance and safety of our fixed equipment assets.

Reliability Engineer – Mechanical Fixed Equipment

Degree: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar with relevant experience).
• 3–5 years in chemical, petrochemical, or refining industries, specifically with fixed equipment.
• Strong understanding of continuous operations in a PSM-covered facility.
• Solid interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of ASME & API Codes.

Preferred

• API Certifications: 510, 570, 581, 653.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience with relief device systems.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise

• Implement and manage PCMS Inspection Monitoring Software.
• Apply API & ASME Codes (ASME Sec I & VIII, B31.1, B31.3, API 510, 570, 576, 653) to maintenance and capital projects.
• Develop and execute Inspection, Testing & Preventive Maintenance (ITPM) plans.
• Perform API 579 Fitness-for-Service assessments.
• Oversee relief device inspection and testing programs.
• Manage RBI-based testing frequencies and inspection scopes.
• Own and drive the site's Fixed Equipment Program strategy and reporting.
• Establish management processes for inspections, findings, and funding recommendations.
• Create dashboards to monitor asset health of critical equipment.
• Work closely with maintenance, operations, inspectors, and reliability teams.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory compliance.

Targeted Outcomes

• Document new ITPM scopes addressing probable failure modes from Damage Mechanism Reviews.
• Implement structured processes for inspection management and execution funding.
• Deliver clear asset health visibility for all critical fixed equipment.
