Position Summary: The Reliability Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager will work to drive out top losses on a 24-hour cycle. The position uses continuous improvement tools and leadership skills, and is responsible for fostering a team environment. The reliability engineer is responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown-related losses, building capability in Operating Teams and Equipment Owners to deliver overall line performance. This position is located in our Kiel, WI manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Drive standard practices around preventative and predictive maintenance processes.
  • Work with the maintenance and engineering team to develop and implement solutions to prevent recurring equipment breakdowns.
  • Maintain effectiveness around CMMS and spare parts availability, ensuring equipment maintenance strategies and reliability standards are in place for the Kiel, WI facilities.
  • Reduce unplanned downtime, discovery work, and repeat events (incidents and near misses), thereby reducing overall lifecycle costs and increasing operating profit.
  • Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other problems affecting plant operations, including capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance issues.
  • Define and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure progress related to equipment or process reliability.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
  • BS/BA degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, leading maintenance reliability programs, and participating in maintenance budgeting processes. Experience in a food and/or chemical continuous processing plant is preferred.
  • Ability to develop strategic partnerships across the company and with third-party contractors to increase reliability.
  • Strong understanding of industrial, mechanical, and electrical technologies.
  • Proficient with CMMS and familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical and food manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory agencies and quality guidelines (GMPs, HACCP, etc.).

Pay Range: $79,200.00 - $118,800.00 USD annually. Candidates can generally expect to be hired near the middle of this range.

Additional Notes: This role may require off-shift hours, weekend, or holiday work.
