Job Description :

ChampionX has an immediate need for a Reliability Engineer located in Freeport, TX at our Chemical Plant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company offering a competitive salary and benefits.

What You Will Do:
  • Work with equipment including rotating equipment, pressure vessels, piping, and compressors.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues affecting reliability and collaborate with crafts to implement improvements.
  • Conduct equipment performance evaluations.
  • Develop and track key KPIs for the maintenance department to assess manufacturing performance and identify process improvements.
  • Evaluate maintenance plans (PMs) and procedures for critical equipment inspection tasks to identify gaps.
  • Create or update maintenance procedures as needed.
  • Champion the mechanical integrity program.
  • Perform engineering design work.
  • Apply engineering principles to lead equipment root cause failure analysis.
  • Review mechanical designs for plant and capital projects to ensure accuracy and familiarize with new assets.
  • Support plant outage planning and execution.
  • Work within the management of change process.
  • Develop cost estimates and oversee project construction.
  • Maintain effective communication with operations, maintenance, material control, and other teams.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 5+ years of reliability engineering experience.
  • Note: Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, and ABSA pressure vessel codes and standards.
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools like 5-why, FMEA, MTBF, and RCA.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Experience with rotating equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with crafts.
  • Enjoys working in cross-functional teams.
