The Relationship Officer is responsible for assisting branch and regional management in meeting or exceeding small business/professional product sales goals to include retention, acquisition and cross- deposits, investments, cash management and loans, and fee income/referrals. Manage business depository and loan relationships. Increase the Bank's share of customer's total relationship through cross sales and working with customers to present solutions to short- and long term strategic objectives to meet their financial needs and goals. Regularly introduce customers to other areas of the Bank to service special needs. Monitor and enhance profitability of all Small Business relationships. Perform ongoing portfolio management and servicing. Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure compliance with Bank's policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for identifying potential private banking prospects, and introducing and referring these prospects to the Private Banker.
  • Responsible for leading and directing all business product campaigns/promotions the Bank rolls out, including but not limited to cash management, business loans/lines of credit, Pentegra, and Business DDA.
  • Generate and screen leads following Bank's policies and procedures to attain new business relationships and product sales (10% of the time).
  • Call and visit target customers to promote and sell Bank's products and services (10% of the time).
  • Promote and cross-sell other Bank's products and services as appropriate.
  • Assist the Retail Bankers by providing legendary customer service to existing private banking clients in the Banker's absence.
  • Provide back up to branch walk-in sales business.
  • May provide training to junior sales personnel.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Professional /Educational Experience:
  • 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training. Generally recommend 5-7 years previous bank sales experience (or) mastery of all Financial Services Officer functions.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
The hiring pay range for this position is $68,640 - $89,363. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
