Physical Therapist preferred. Dynamic opportunity supervising occupational therapists, physical therapists, and assistants (COTA and PTA) in an inpatient acute care setting. UNMH is New Mexicos only Level 1 trauma center and the states premier teaching hospital. Our Rehab Staff provide services across all age groups and locations, including adult and pediatric EDs, ICUs, progressive care units, and outpatient specialty clinics. Position Summary:Coordinate and supervise physical or occupational therapy services for inpatients or outpatients. Organize and implement therapy treatments and evaluations. Serve as a clinical resource and lead therapist for the assigned service area, ensuring adherence to hospital policies. Patient care may include Neonate to Geriatric age groups.
Responsibilities:Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
Experience: At least 2 years of related experience. Bilingual in English and Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo is a plus.
Credentials: CPR/BLS certification within 30 days, NM PT or temporary OT license (permanent license within 3 months).
Physical Conditions: Heavy work requiring exertion of 50-100 pounds occasionally, 25-50 pounds frequently, and 10-20 pounds constantly.
Working Conditions: May involve exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, odors, bad weather, noise, and travel to various sites. Shift rotation may be required.
