Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Regulatory Compliance Business Analyst with expertise in U.S. financial regulations, risk management, and data-driven reporting. This role combines regulatory knowledge, analytical skills, and technical acumen to support compliance initiatives, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and enhance reporting processes across a large financial organization. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between compliance, finance, risk, and technology teams, driving accurate reporting and sustainable regulatory practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support regulatory compliance and reporting initiatives, with exposure to reports such as Y-9C, Y-14, Call Reports, Y-15, and 2052a.
  • Translate regulatory requirements and business needs into clear technical specifications, features, and user stories.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Business teams to implement effective data and reporting solutions.
  • Conduct impact assessments, process gap analyses, and mapping to strengthen compliance processes and controls.
  • Apply knowledge of ERM, Operational Risk, Model Risk, Technology Risk, and Compliance Risk to regulatory projects.
  • Partner with governance and control teams on issue management, control testing, remediation, and audit/exam support.
  • Utilize SQL and data analysis skills in both relational and big-data environments (e.g., Hadoop, Cornerstone) to validate regulatory data.
  • Leverage experience with regulatory reporting platforms such as AxiomSL, Adenza, or Nasdaq
  • Apply Agile and SAFe methodologies to manage deliverables in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in U.S. financial regulatory reporting, compliance, banking, or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. regulatory frameworksBSA/AML, FRB/GT Reviews, MRA/Consent Order remediation, Reg V/W, UDAAP, FCRM, and internal audits.
  • Experience in risk management and governanceRCSA, risk assessments, issue/control oversight, enterprise policy management, and regulatory impact assessments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency with SQL, data management, and reporting tools; experience with BI/analytics (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with large-scale data ecosystems, both on-prem and cloud.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex regulatory concepts across diverse stakeholders.
  • Certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or regulatory/risk certifications (e.g., CRCM, FRM) are a plus.
