Job SummaryRegulatory professional with developed technical knowledge in rate design theory and practice within AEP's state jurisdictions or external jurisdictions. Must have electric utility experience, industry activity knowledge, and understanding of cost of service and rate design related to new technologies and recovery strategies. Capable of applying theory to perform detailed mathematical analysis and solve problems with limited guidance. Must have a working knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, codes, systems, docket research, and business processes. Ability to communicate and coordinate across multiple organizations, including outside the AEP footprint, to develop innovative rate solutions for rate cases, recovery clauses, audits, compliance filings, policy matters, and other proceedings. Provides strategic regulatory input and supports negotiation strategies, with extensive knowledge of regulatory developments across jurisdictions, educating others on the interrelationships between cost drivers and revenue.
