Overview: Natixis is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs - IT and Cybersecurity Lead to guide its Combined U.S. Operations (CUSO) on critical matters related to IT, cybersecurity, and technology risk management. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization effectively navigates the regulatory landscape, particularly in relation to regulatory exams and continuous monitoring. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience interacting with regulatory bodies, preparing for examinations, and implementing ongoing monitoring processes to uphold best practices in compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support regulatory interactions for the first and second lines of defense regarding IT, cybersecurity, and technology risk management topics. This includes taking charge of preparation efforts for various examinations conducted by Federal and State regulators.
  • Play a crucial role in advising and assisting IT and Technology Risk Management teams in addressing any issues identified during regulatory exams or through monitoring channels.
  • Serve as a key Regulatory Affairs representative, coordinating responses to regulatory examinations and internal reviews that involve critical IT, cybersecurity, or information security components.
  • Collaborate with the Regulatory Affairs Project Management team on remediation and implementation projects, working closely with first-line and support/control groups to enhance processes and controls in line with best practices and regulatory guidance.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in the regulatory environment alongside the Regulatory Affairs Advocacy team, assessing their impact on business operations, control measures, and risk frameworks. Provide strategic solutions for implementing necessary changes in collaboration with business and support/control functions.
  • Advise stakeholders on planning and executing strategic or regulatory compliance-related projects, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices within the firm's IT and cybersecurity risk management processes.
  • Provide expert guidance on IT and cybersecurity risk frameworks and policies, aiding in the interpretation and implementation of both new and existing regulatory guidance, standards, and best practices, as well as potential initiatives related to IT, information security, cybersecurity, and vendor risk management.
  • Coordinate with Natixis' Head Office teams as needed to develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards related to IT, information security, and cybersecurity, along with managing critical regulatory examinations and remediation efforts.
  • Offer advisory support for IT and Technology Risk Management documentation, procedures, and compliance with various policies and regulatory guidance.
  • Support the Regulatory Affairs Department by developing materials, presentations, policies, and procedures, and assisting with examination and continuous monitoring activities across other risk disciplines, as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college required; a graduate degree is preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the financial services industry or regulatory environment, with over 10 years focused specifically on regulatory IT, information security, and cybersecurity matters.
  • Extensive experience interacting directly with U.S. regulatory agencies and a proven track record in managing regulatory examinations and continuous monitoring activities.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory IT, information security, and cybersecurity, including expertise in compliance with standards and requirements set forth by the NYDFS, Federal Reserve, and FFIEC.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, particularly MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with various IT and cybersecurity systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-directed, quick learner capable of working independently while knowing when to engage team members.
  • High degree of integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in French is a plus but not required.

The salary range for this position will be between $200,000 -$280,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
