The salary range is between $52,705 and $66,672, depending on qualifications, experience, department budgets, and industry data.Employees receive more than just a paycheck. University employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes excellent healthcare, retirement plans, tuition assistance, paid time off, and a winter recess.POSITION OBJECTIVEThe Registrar/Financial Aid Advisor has a staff relationship with the University Director of Financial Aid and the University Registrar. The Registrar/Financial Aid Advisor is responsible for developing and maintaining policy and procedure manuals for all aspects of the position. Effective communication of these policies and procedures to the faculty, staff and students, including post-doctoral candidates of the School of Dental Medicine is an essential responsibility of the position.Essential Functions

  • Student Registration and Records Management Oversee the registration process for all students including DMD, EFDA, and post-doctoral candidates, ensuring accurate entry and maintenance of demographic and academic records in the Student Information System (SIS). Manage Course and instructor updates, resolve registration discrepancies and audit system-generated reports for accuracy. (20%)
  • Academic Records and Grade Administration Direct the process for faculty grade submissions and ensure timely verification and entry of grades into SIS. Prepare and distribute academic standing reports, manage GPA calculations and class rank, and oversee the update of student credential files. (20%)
  • Financial Aid Policy and Compliance: Develop, implement and monitor financial aid policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and institutional regulations. Provide comprehensive financial aid counseling, assisting students with applications and informing them of available scholarship and loan options. (15%)
  • Financial Aid Administration and Support: Process student refunds, emergency aid requests and maintain detailed records of tuition and fees. Conduct financial aid seminars and provide individualized counseling to inform students of their rights and repayment options. (15%)
  • Reporting and Liaison Activities: Prepare annual reports on financial aid and student registration activities, advising on student indebtedness and alternative funding sources. Work directly with office of Development and Alumni Relations to report student scholarship and award recipients and assist in select stewardship activities. Maintain liaison with university financial aid offices and external accrediting agencies, ensuring accurate and timely communication of student data. (15%)
Nonessential Funcitons
  • Graduation Commencement Coordination: Serve as assistant coordinator for commencement activities, verifying student information and overseeing the preparation of graduation materials. (5%)
  • Coordination with Dean's Office: Collaborates with the Dean's Office on key academic and administrative processes, including but not limited to student licensing, graduation clearance, and academic credentialing. Ensures timely communication and accurate submission of necessary documentation to support these processes. Serves as a liaison between departmental staff, faculty, and the Dean's Office to facilitate smooth operations related to student milestones. Provides accurate and timely enrollment forecasts, fee reconciliation and student withdrawal data for completion of School-specific, University and National Reporting Agencies. (5%)

WORKING CONDITIONSOccasional travel to conferences and meetings. Daily office located on the Health Education Campus- Samson 4th floor Administrative Offices of School of Dental Medicine.This position is eligible for hybrid work arrangement up to two remote days per week at the discretion of the department.
