Position: Registered Sonographer – Ultrasound (Day Shift) Location: Roanoke, VA Employment Type: Full-Time, Regular

Overview A respected healthcare provider in Roanoke is seeking a dedicated Registered Sonographer to join their Ultrasound Imaging team. You'll be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and delivering compassionate care to patients across all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and prepare patients for ultrasound procedures before, during, and after treatment in accordance with departmental guidelines
• Operate advanced imaging equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS systems
• Participate in training and mentoring of students and new staff as assigned
• Promote a safe, calming, and therapeutic atmosphere for patients and their families

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent formal training

Experience:

• Previous experience preferred but not required
• OR and/or pediatric ultrasound experience is a plus

Certifications & Licensure:

• ARRT registry or ARDMS certification in one or more of the following: OB/Gyn, Abdominal, or Neurosonography
• Current CPR certification

• Flexibility to support various assignments within the imaging department
