YOUR ROLE
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing compassionate, detailed, and personalized care to patients with respiratory issues.
Canton-Potsdam Hospital is a welcoming, non-profit community healthcare facility with 94 beds, striving to provide outstanding healthcare services. With various programs in emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist medicine, and critical care, we are dedicated to health and wellness in North Country, offering outpatient services in Brasher Falls, Canton, Colton, Gouverneur, Massena, Norfolk, and Potsdam, NY.
JOB STATUS: Full-Time
LOCATION: Massena Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Respiratory Services
SCHEDULE: 7am-7pm, Day Shift
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or an equivalent certificate is required.
New York State Respiratory Therapist license required.
ACLS certification (current) required within one year of hire.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Care: Evaluate patient history, vital signs, and care orders; recommend appropriate respiratory care treatments.
Planning & Documentation: Develop and update respiratory care plans; collaborate with healthcare team members to enact care strategies.
Education & Communication: Educate patients about procedures; communicate clinical information to healthcare team members; mentor new team members and students.
UNION: CSEA - Civil Service Employees Association (MH)
Note: Not all per diem roles are union eligible.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medium Work - exerting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects; ability to walk, stand, or squat frequently.
PAY RANGE: $31.80 - $42.99
The noted pay range represents the current base pay for the position, subject to change and may include additional components based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and contracts.
