Are you a skilled and licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) interested in delivering top-quality respiratory care in a close knit rural hospital setting? Join our team in Mesa, CO, where your expertise will support patients across varied clinical areas during daytime hours. Position Overview As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide essential diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services, caring for patients in critical care, emergency, and general inpatient settings. You'll work closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize respiratory health and enhance patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer respiratory treatments, including mechanical ventilation management, aerosol medications, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance
  • Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results
  • Monitor cardiopulmonary status and adjust therapies based on assessment findings
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment
  • Respond to emergency codes and support advanced airway management (bag mask, intubation assistance)
  • Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans

Job Requirements Qualifications and RequirementsRequired Credentials
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC and valid Colorado RCP license (or eligibility)
  • Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree)
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred or to be obtained shortly after hire
Experience
  • Minimum 6 months clinical RT experience preferred (hospital setting encouraged)
  • New graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply
