Registered Respiratory Therapist - PRN DAY RRTProgressive Care Unit at Tampa General Hospital - The Progressive Care Unit is an elite team of acute care professionals who treat catastrophically ill, medically complex patients requiring extended acute care. Most patients are ventilator dependent with multiple co-morbidities. The successful candidate will have experience working as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting, a compassionate and caring attitude and a proven ability to work collaboratively. Registered Respiratory Therapists are responsible for independently utilizing current respiratory care administration and monitoring practices in accordance with physician's orders. As a critical part of our patient care team you will collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapy, speech therapy and physical therapy to provide superior quality of care.   • Evaluating and recommending a treatment plan of care to allow patients to reach maximum performance levels through therapy
  • Responsible for documentation of patient's evolution including evaluation reports on patient's progress
  • Operate various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas and mist inhalation equipment
  • Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with the patient, the patient's family, work team and all levels of the organization
  • Schedule
    • 12 Hour Shifts
    • AM Shift Available
    Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Job Qualifications:
  • Education - Successful completion of an accredited program for Respiratory Care.
  • Experience - Two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Licensure - Current State of Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure
  • Certifications - BLS and ACLS required
