Description:RESPONSIBLE FOR:Performing assessments on Pediatric and Neonatal units, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, , blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in those areas.Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy. Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Previous Working Experience in Neonatal or Pediatric Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.QUALIFICATIONS:Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS/ALS, PALS, and NRP.Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies.ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Neonatal Pediatric Specialist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care preferred.
