Job Summary \n• Monitor patient physiological responses to therapy and report adverse reactions to physicians \n• Collaborate with healthcare team members to support patient care and assist in procedures \n• Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment safely and effectively \n• Provide emergency respiratory care as needed \n• Educate patients on treatment procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation \n Key Responsibilities \n• Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases, vital signs, blood chemistry, and lung function \n• Assist physicians during medical procedures involving respiratory therapy \n• Set up and operate therapeutic equipment including: \n• Mechanical ventilators \n• Gas administration systems \n• Environmental control systems \n• Aerosol generators \n• Follow specified treatment parameters and physician prescriptions \n• Provide emergency interventions including: \n• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation \n• External cardiac massage \n• Artificial respiration \n• Inspect, test, clean, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment \n• Maintain accurate patient charts with therapy and identification details \n• Measure arterial blood gases and lung capacity \n• Relay blood analysis results to the physician \n• Conduct emergency visits for equipment issues and coordinate repairs \n• Explain treatment procedures to patients to ensure cooperation \n• Check and assess patient pulmonary function \n Required Qualifications \n• Valid RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification \n• MA Respiratory Care license \n• BLS certification \n• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 \n• Updated professional resume \n• Two professional references (preferably from supervisors or managers) \n Certifications \n• RRT \n• MA Respiratory Care License \n• BLS \n• COVID-19 Vaccination \n Certification: Basic Life Support
