Job Responsibilities
- Function as a resource in all patient care areas, frequently caring for critically ill patients
- Participate in Code Blue and Rapid Response teams
- Develop patient care plans and perform invasive respiratory procedures
- Administer respiratory medications and therapeutic medical gases
- Analyze patient data, vital signs, and physiological responses to inform interventions
- Monitor respiratory equipment and respond appropriately to alarms and changes in condition
- Exercise independent clinical judgment in high-stakes situations
- Provide education and support to patients and families
Qualifications
- Valid RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) license
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital experience required (critical care preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving ability
- Detail-oriented, team player, and goal-driven
- Empathetic, professional, and able to remain calm under pressure
