✅ Required Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Preferred:
• Pharmacy dispensing experience
• IV room experience
• Sterile processing experience

Education & Licensing

• Required: Must be licensed as a Registered Pharmacy Technician by the New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Job Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will:

• Prepare and distribute medications.
• Maintain drug inventory and medication carts.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations regarding pharmacy practices.
• Rotate assignments and shifts to meet departmental needs.
• Accurately and efficiently perform pharmacy support tasks within specified timeframes.
• Deliver and return medications and supplies across hospital departments.
• Properly operate pharmacy equipment.
• Troubleshoot automated dispensing systems as needed.
