About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical research team for a part-time study role based at our Chelsea location. This is a unique opportunity to support an important health study by assisting with specimen collection and providing clinical care in alignment with study protocols. The role is scheduled for Saturdays only, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This position is ideal for RNs seeking to contribute to research and clinical care in a flexible, weekend-only capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
As an RN Study, your responsibilities will include:
Collect swabs and blood samples from study participants
Follow all research protocols and procedures with attention to detail
Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, and labeling
Accurately document all collections and maintain confidentiality
Participate in training on swab collection techniques and study procedures
Assist medical providers and prepare patients for procedures as needed
Perform clinical tests (e.g. glucose, urinalysis, HIV testing, phlebotomy) per protocol
Educate patients on health maintenance, HIV adherence, and preventive care
Triaging patients and referring to urgent care or ER when necessary
Follow up on critical lab results and document accordingly
Maintain supplies, restock inventory, and follow infection control protocols
Work Schedule: The role is scheduled for Saturdays only, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Qualifications
New York State RN License
Minimum 2-3 years of acute or ambulatory care experience is required. Experience in ER, telephone triage, public/community health care setting is preferred
Current CPR certification
Strong computer competency
Ability to work with a diverse patient population that may include difficult and demanding patients

Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
