Overview:
Rochester Regional Health is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for the Medical Step Down/Pulmonary Unit at Rochester General Hospital. This temporary assignment provides an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, focusing on the care of patients requiring step-down services. The successful candidate will have expertise in invasive monitoring, respiratory support, and the ability to float to other units if needed.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse License:
- Current and valid New York State Registered Nurse license.
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certifications.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical Step Down/Pulmonary Unit.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Specialized Care:
- Manage patients requiring invasive monitoring, New/Rescue/Continuous Non-Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation (NIPPV), New tracheostomies, and ventilation with Endotracheal Tube (ETT).
- Proficiency in caring for patients with Transvenous Pacing.
Certification Management:
- Maintain and renew required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
Float to Other Units:
- Willingness to float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient care requirements.
