Specialty: SICU. Shift: 3x12 Nights (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend requirements: Every other weekend. No locals accepted, must be over 75 miles from the facility. First-time travelers accepted. Unit has 16 beds with patients that include sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management, respiratory failure/shock, CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:2 with occasional 1:1 based on acuity. Charting experience in EPIC is a hard requirement. Candidates will float. Background policy will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Candidates with foreign education must have their education verified. Modules are billable, up to 5 hours. Total module time may reach 10 hours, and any time spent in excess of 5 hours is non-billable. Modules are completed pre-start and vary by specialty. Modules are recorded via facility report.
