This role is ideal for RNs with a strong background in IV therapy, patient monitoring, and radiologic safety. The Radiology RN ensures patients are well-prepared, comfortable, and safe during imaging and minimally invasive procedures. Responsibilities
  • Assist with CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, fluoroscopy, and interventional radiology procedures
  • Administer IV contrast, moderate sedation, and pain management medications as needed
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after imaging procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
  • Educate patients on procedure expectations, potential risks, and post-procedure care
  • Recognize and respond to contrast reactions, respiratory distress, or cardiac complications
  • Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and infection control measures
  • Document patient assessments, procedural details, and medication administration in EHR
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in radiology, critical care, or procedural nursing
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
  • Experience with IV sedation, patient monitoring, and emergency response preferred
  • Strong understanding of radiologic procedures, contrast agents, and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
