Registered Nurse (RN) - Psychiatric - Tandym Group : Job Details

A health services network in Binghamton,NY is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their growing inpatient psychiatric facilities. In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing compassionate care through patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with mental illness. About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: 3-to 4-month assignment
• Shifts: Day or Afternoons/Evenings or Nights
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week (and rotating Saturday and Sunday)
• Hours: 7am-3:30pm or 3pm-11:30pm or 11pm-7:30am
• Setting: Inpatient Mental Health
• Patient Population: Adults (Ages 18+)

• Assessing the patients' physical needs
• Checking and transcribing physicians' orders in a timely fashion
• Administering medication
• Admit/discharge and transfer patients based on physician order
• Assisting with procedures and physical exams
• Conducting checks of treatment rooms for required equipment and ensuring its functionality
• Recording appropriate progress notes and other data into the patient's medical record
• Supervising non-professional nursing staff - drawing blood, collecting vital signs, etc.

• 1 year of Clinical experience working as a Registered Nurse
• License and current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification

• At least 1 year of experience in a Behavioral Health setting
