This role involves assessing pediatric patients, administering medications, coordinating treatments, and educating families on health conditions and care plans.Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor pediatric patients' conditions, reporting changes to physicians and healthcare teams
• Administer medications, vaccines, and IV therapy according to pediatric protocols
• Provide age-appropriate care and emotional support to young patients and families
• Assist in diagnostic tests, treatments, and specialized pediatric procedures
• Educate parents and caregivers on medication administration, chronic disease management, and developmental milestones
• Ensure compliance with pediatric safety protocols, infection control policies, and facility guidelines
• Collaborate with physicians, child life specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a pediatric or neonatal setting preferred
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
• Strong knowledge of growth and development, pediatric diseases, and family-centered care
• Excellent communication skills to interact with children, families, and healthcare teams
