Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical-Surgical/TelemetryLocation: Oneonta, NYJob Type: Contract (13 Weeks)Pay Rate:

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting
Monitor, interpret, and respond appropriately to cardiac telemetry readings
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
Administer medications, IV fluids, and other physician-ordered treatments
Perform clinical procedures including wound care, catheter maintenance, and oxygen therapy
Continuously monitor patient status and report critical changes to the appropriate medical personnel
Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Provide emotional support to patients and their families during hospitalization
Maintain compliance with all hospital protocols, safety procedures, and infection control standards
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and deliver life-saving interventions, including CPR
Operate and maintain telemetry monitoring equipment and ensure adequate supply availability

Qualifications:

Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York
Active BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association required)
Proficiency in interpreting telemetry and managing high-acuity patients
Strong clinical judgment, multitasking ability, and communication skills
Previous experience in both Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing is highly preferred
