The RN Electrophysiology will assist in diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders by supporting EP studies, catheter ablations, and pacemaker/ICD implantations. This role requires strong cardiac nursing experience, technical proficiency, and the ability to work in high-acuity environments.Responsibilities
  • Assist in electrophysiology procedures such as EP studies, ablations, pacemaker/ICD insertions, and loop recorder placements.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms before, during, and after procedures.
  • Administer medications, sedation, and IV therapies as required.
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, post-procedure care, and device management.
  • Work collaboratively with cardiologists, EP lab teams, and anesthesia providers.
  • Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, patient safety, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Travel to various healthcare facilities for assignments as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Certification: Active RN license; BLS and ACLS required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in cardiology, electrophysiology, or cath lab nursing.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias, EP procedures, and telemetry monitoring.
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments.
