RN - PCU 2 - Full Time NightsThis position coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and works as part of a team with ancillary and non-nursing departments.

Reports to: Department Director

FLSA: Non-exempt

Education: Associate's Degree Nursing (ADN) Required; Bachelor's Degree Nursing (BSN) Preferred

License: Applicants should have a current state RN license or a current multistate compact license and possess an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire;

Essential FunctionsAssesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patientsDevelops individual nursing care plansImplements care plans and makes revisions as neededEvaluates patient care outcomesCollaborates with physicians and other hospital employeesAdministers medications, treatments and therapies.Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition. Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.
