Registered Nurse - Syracuse University : Job Details

The RN will work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other members of the SU Health Services team to provide comprehensive clinical care for students illnesses, injuries, immunizations and health education needs. Commonly performed clinical duties include obtaining vital signs and patient histories, physical assessment of the student, medication administration and injection, IV insertion/maintenance, specimen collection, telephone triage and in-person triage, sexual health screening and health education. In addition to the clinical duties, laboratory responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen collection and point-of-care testing. The RN will be a 9-month academic year position reporting directly to the Nurse Manager. Education and Experience RN, licensed to practice in the state of New York.
