Position Overview:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct clinical care, conducts health assessments, assists physicians, and coordinates nursing services for juveniles in state custody. The RN ensures the delivery of quality healthcare in compliance with facility policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health assessments and admission physicals for juveniles.
  • Administer patient care under physician direction.
  • Organize and prioritize care based on patient/family needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Document care and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Assist with discharge planning and patient/family education.
  • Ensure compliance with facility and state nursing standards.
