We're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Instructor to join a respected Practical Nursing Program. In this role, you'll provide both classroom and clinical instruction, guiding students on their journey to becoming skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). Key Responsibilities: Classroom Instruction: Deliver engaging lectures on topics such as anatomy, pharmacology, patient care, and disease management. Utilize diverse teaching strategies (case studies, group discussions, multimedia, etc.) to enhance student learning. Ensure all course content aligns with state regulations and current industry standards. Clinical Supervision: Guide students through clinical rotations in healthcare settings. Demonstrate and supervise essential procedures (e.g., vital signs, wound care, medication administration). Monitor performance, enforce safety protocols, and provide constructive feedback. Skills Lab & Simulation: Conduct hands-on training in nursing labs using simulation tools and clinical equipment. Help students master essential skills and procedures before clinical practice. Student Evaluation: Assess students through exams, skill check-offs, and clinical evaluations. Track progress, attendance, and ensure all program competencies are met. Licensure Exam Prep: Prepare students for the NCLEX-PN exam with review sessions, practice tests, and test-taking strategies. Support students through the licensure application process. Curriculum Development: Develop and update instructional materials in line with evolving nursing standards. Work collaboratively with administrators to maintain a strong academic curriculum. Professionalism & Mentorship: Serve as a role model for professional, ethical nursing practice. Promote respect, compassion, and a student-centered learning environment. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with faculty, clinical partners, and healthcare facilities to provide a seamless learning experience. Attend faculty meetings, training sessions, and participate in continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications: Active RN license in the state. Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required. 3-5 years of clinical experience, ideally in acute care, long-term care, or educational settings. Prior teaching experience is highly preferred. Strong communication and mentorship abilities. Proficient with simulation tools, EMRs, and learning management systems.
