The RN may also assist in appointment scheduling and other related activities for optimal patient service. RN's by nature of licensure have an oversight responsibility to other clinical staff (LPN's and medical assistants).Roles and Responsibilities:* Performs professional nursing care in accordance with the New York State Nursing Practice Act.* Carries out all assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well-being of patients, per practiceprotocol.* Takes and records patient's vital signs and prepares exam rooms and sterilizes equipment and supplies per protocols.* Prepares equipment and assists physicians/providers with procedures, patient care and/or scheduling.* Performs triage for physicians/providers with regard to clinical questions, prescription refills, test resultsand other patient calls per practice protocols.* Prepares patient's record for visit, as directed by physician/provider including providing patient education, as requested per physician/provider* Participates in quality improvement activities and committees, as requested.* Works with all members of the team to achieve patient centered care as well as quality care by using thebest practice standards and case management.* This is a FT day shift position 8:30am-5p.Required Skills and Experience:* Graduation from an accredited RN program* Current NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse* BLS CertificationPreferred Skills and Experience:* Knowledge of OSHA regulations* Knowledge of the practice management system, EMR and scheduling protocolsPhysical Requirements:* Standing-- 70%* Sitting-- 30%* Reaching-- 80%* Bending-- 50%* Lifting-- must be able to lift 40 lb.Location and Travel Requirements:* Onsite-1301 Trumansburg RD Suite RPay Range Disclosure:* $35.63 to $44.18 per hourCayuga Health System and its affiliates are committed to treating all patients, providers, staff and volunteers equitably and with dignity, ensuring the highest levels of safety, care and respect, and striving to recognize and overcome biases and policies that contribute to disparities in healthcare access, equitable care and positive health outcomes for all.We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, supporting the growth and health of our employees and community by embracing the rich diversity, needs and circumstances of all peoples and prioritizing opportunities to build a diverse and inclusive workplace.
