What are we looking for?

We are looking to add aHybrid Part Time Registered Nursewith a minimum of 1-3 years of experience to our team. As theRegistered Nurseyou will be a valuable part of a team supporting individuals in recovery from substance use disorder to achieve their health related goals.

Your overall essential responsibilities will be the following:

• Ensure OASAS/Medicaid regulatory compliance through training, oversight, and testing of staff who will provide observation of medication self administration;

• Collaborates with program staff in Quality Assessment, Assurance, and Performance Improvement Activities;

• Provide medical guidance including, but not limited to, clinical concerns, reviewing risk and withdrawal assessment as indicated by 820 regulations and timelines;

• Reviews medical history as part of the admission determination, reviewing updates to medical history, and supports program staff in scheduling routine and specialty healthcare as needed; and;

• Provides training on the safe handling, storage, and observation of medication administration.

• Must be licensed in New York State

Physical and environmental conditions include:

• Work requires no unusual demand for physical effort except the normal risks or discomforts, requiring special safety precautions for operating a motor vehicle.

• Travel up to 0%.

The hiring range for this position is expected to be $40-$42/hr for up to 5 hours per week.

Qualifications

You will catch our eye if you have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Experience with QA/QI activities related to medication administration

• Experience with training non-clinical staff with observing medication self-administration

Extra credit will be given if you have the following experience, education, and requirements:

• Experience working in a Substance Use Disorder treatment environment

• Experience with Therap EMR

• Completion of the Train the Trainer Training for the Oversight of Patient Self Administration of Medication Parts I and II through OASAS.

• Obtain a valid health certificate to meet SJCS or current funding authority requirements as required.
