What are we looking for?
We are looking to add aHybrid Part Time Registered Nursewith a minimum of 1-3 years of experience to our team. As theRegistered Nurseyou will be a valuable part of a team supporting individuals in recovery from substance use disorder to achieve their health related goals.
Your overall essential responsibilities will be the following:
Ensure OASAS/Medicaid regulatory compliance through training, oversight, and testing of staff who will provide observation of medication self administration;
Collaborates with program staff in Quality Assessment, Assurance, and Performance Improvement Activities;
Provide medical guidance including, but not limited to, clinical concerns, reviewing risk and withdrawal assessment as indicated by 820 regulations and timelines;
Reviews medical history as part of the admission determination, reviewing updates to medical history, and supports program staff in scheduling routine and specialty healthcare as needed; and;
Provides training on the safe handling, storage, and observation of medication administration.
Must be licensed in New York State

Work requires no unusual demand for physical effort except the normal risks or discomforts, requiring special safety precautions for operating a motor vehicle.

The hiring range for this position is expected to be $40-$42/hr for up to 5 hours per week.

Qualifications

You will catch our eye if you have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Experience with QA/QI activities related to medication administration
Experience with training non-clinical staff with observing medication self-administration
Extra credit will be given if you have the following experience, education, and requirements:
Experience working in a Substance Use Disorder treatment environment
Experience with Therap EMR
Completion of the Train the Trainer Training for the Oversight of Patient Self Administration of Medication Parts I and II through OASAS.
