Location: You must be based in and reside in Massachusetts. This is not related to where you hold licensure.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of direct, patient-facing counseling experience is required - ideally gained in a private setting or healthcare facility setting where you managed a full spectrum of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) conditions using a long-term behavior-change approach.

Scope: This role is designed to deliver comprehensive nutrition counseling across a wide range of MNT conditions using evidence-based, sustained behavior-change strategies. Please note: You will not be treating patients with eating disorders in this position.

Schedule: This is a full-time role (average of 28 sessions per week) with full-time hours. Your schedule will be Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm.

Compensation: $50.00- $59.50 per session

Role Overview

We are seeking a 100% remote Registered Dietitian with a robust background in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and a proven track record in long-term behavior-change counseling. In this role, you will use evidence-based techniques - including motivational interviewing and other proven strategies - to support patients with a wide range of nutrition-related conditions. Ideally, you have honed your skills in a private setting or healthcare facility setting, developing comprehensive care plans and building lasting, trusting relationships with your patients.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a confident, outcomes-driven Registered Dietitian with a direct and pragmatic approach to comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy and long-term behavior-change counseling. Responsibilities

  • Weekly Patient Counseling: Counsel patients on a weekly basis using evidence-based nutrition strategies and advanced behavior-change techniques - such as motivational interviewing, goal-setting, and accountability measures. Ensure each session is focused, results-driven, and aligned with the patient's personalized care plan while developing and maintaining strong, ongoing relationships.
  • Caseload Management: As a full-time employee, you will counsel an average of 28 sessions per week. Serve patients with a wide range of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) conditions - including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, metabolic disorders, hypertension, and challenges related to unhealthy relationships with food, chronic dieting, and emotional eating - ensuring tailored, high-quality care.
  • Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify nutritional needs and develop personalized, actionable care plans that integrate long-term behavior-change strategies.
  • Patient Scheduling & Reengagement: Monitor appointment adherence and promptly contact patients who miss sessions to reschedule them. Proactively reengage patients to ensure they remain actively involved in their care plan.
  • Patient Communication: Respond to patient emails and other communications quickly, professionally, and efficiently, addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Charting & Documentation: Ensure accurate, timely charting of all patient interactions and document progress notes in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend regular team meetings, actively collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a unified, supportive approach to patient care.
  • Professional Accountability: Set firm expectations with patients, holding them accountable while consistently providing honest, effective counseling.

Skills/Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist: Must be a Registered Dietitian (RDN) in good standing with all required credentials.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of direct, patient-facing counseling experience is required - ideally gained in a private setting or healthcare facility setting managing a broad range of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) conditions.
  • Behavior-Change Expertise: Demonstrated ability to implement advanced behavior-change strategies, including motivational interviewing, goal-setting, and accountability techniques, in a direct and pragmatic manner.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to patient communications.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Proven capability to build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with patients through clear, honest, and direct counseling.
  • Organizational & Documentation Skills: Strong organizational abilities and a proven track record of maintaining accurate, timely charting and progress notes in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work both independently and as part of a remote team, actively participating in team meetings and contributing to a results-driven, supportive environment.
