Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for a Registered Dietitian position that will provide support to our client's healthcare systems in Bronx, NY 10461. Position Summary:

Pay Range: $47 to $50/ Hr On W2 for Locals
Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely and accurate nutrition screenings and assessments based on level of care.
- Determine patients' nutritional status and needs; develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
- Perform patient and/or family interviews to obtain dietary history, food preferences, and cultural considerations.
- Interpret and incorporate relevant lab results, physical assessments, and social factors into nutrition planning.
- Monitor and provide education on food and drug interactions, document interactions in patient records.
- Educate patients and caregivers on dietary guidelines, modifications, and therapeutic diets.
- Document dietary instructions and assess patient understanding in the medical record's education section.
- Modify patient menus and consult with physicians as needed to ensure appropriate diet orders.
- Follow up with patients to assess and support adherence to nutrition interventions.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nutrition experience required
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Master's degree preferred
- For Post-Acute Care settings: Certification by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Dietitian-Nutritionist
- For Acute Care settings: Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian
- AHA BLS Certification – Preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clinical knowledge in medical nutrition therapy
- Ability to analyze clinical data and apply it to nutritional care planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple patient cases
