QUALIFICATIONS 1. Bachelor's degree in nutrition or closely related field of study. 2. Must be Licensed Dietician or Nutritionist 3. Minimum one (1) year experience in a general acute care hospital. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Support and implement the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Beacon Behavioral Health. 2.Uphold and embody Beacon Behavioral Health's 5 Commandments for Exceptional Customer Service. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 1.Contributes to patient care by performing nutritional assessments of patients, as necessary. 2.Plans and monitors nutritional care and education of patients in conjunction with the Director of Nursing and/or nursing staff. 3.Collaborates with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members to develop a comprehensive/goal directed plan of care regarding nutritional care requirements. 4.Supports staff, patient and care giver education to enhance knowledge, skills and necessary behavior to facilitate positive outcomes. 5.The Clinical Dietician acts as liaison between the hospital and the Dietary Services Provider. 6.Participates in performance improvement activities that ensure important processes and activities are measured, assessed and improved systematically. 7.Performs other duties and special projects as required.
