Merchants Insurance Group is a leading Property and Casualty Insurer in the Northeast, seeking an experienced Regional Underwriting Manager for our Commercial Lines Underwriting team located in Melville, New York.

Responsibilities include:

Qualifications:

• Four-year degree or equivalent work experience.
• Property and Casualty insurance coursework preferred (e.g., CPCU).
• At least 7 years of commercial underwriting experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Existing agency relationships in downstate New York are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of local industry trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal systems (WINS, ImageRight).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel at least 25% of the time; valid driver's license required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Estimated salary range: $112,000 - $164,000, plus equity and benefits.
• Hybrid work schedule: 8 days/month in-office, remaining days flexible.
