A Regional Sustainable Design Leader is sought to help champion and integrate sustainable design practices across a diverse portfolio that includes aviation, data centers, education, interiors, and more. This in-office position in Dallas, TX, is part of a collaborative shared services team and includes a rare opportunity to work closely with a Director of Sustainability known across the industry. With experience ranging from global urban resiliency projects to major commercial and educational developments, this leader offers mentorship and strategic insight that will significantly expand your impact in the sustainability field.

What You'll Own

🌿 Leadership & Management

  • Lead and inspire a regional sustainability team across multiple project types and sectors
  • Partner closely with the Director of Sustainability to support and expand firmwide sustainable design vision
  • Manage staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation for sustainability-driven projects

🌿 Sustainable Design Expertise

  • Develop and lead sustainability strategies, including energy analysis, materials selection, health & well-being, and GHG emissions
  • Oversee and manage green building certifications and frameworks including LEED, WELL, ENVISION, and others
  • Guide climate impact mitigation and resilience strategies with a strong foundation in environmental science

🌿 Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate across design and technical teams to ensure sustainability goals are integrated throughout all project phases
  • Present sustainability strategies clearly and confidently to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Balance multiple priorities while maintaining strong organizational and detail-oriented approaches

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Science, Planning, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in sustainable design leadership, with a successful track record across sectors
  • Professional credentials such as AIA, PE, CEM, and/or LEED AP
  • Expertise in sustainable building systems and energy modeling tools (e.g., Climate Studio, Pollination, Autodesk Insight, EnergyPlus)
  • Experience integrating sustainability into complex design processes, frameworks, and performance metrics
  • Strong leadership, budgeting, and proposal development experience
  • Proven background in developing climate mitigation and resilience plans at the building, campus, or city scale
