With manufacturing units in 12 countries and present in more than 135 countries, WEG has more than 40,000 employees worldwide Position Summary: Manages the sales function of a large multi-state region of the US. Leads a team of 3rd Party Manufacturer Representatives and sales support professionals to develop a profitable customer base and grow sales of all Marathon products throughout the region. Manage various sales channels to meet company product and customer sales goals. This position is responsible for the budget, and profit and loss, within the area. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement sales plan for the region to successfully achieve company sales goals.
  • Effectively communicate the company Marketing plan to the team and provide tools for success.
  • Support 3rd Party Sales Representatives with onsite customer visits to help in business development of general account base.
  • Engage directly in account development and contract negotiation with key accounts.
  • Analyze product sales and product sales projections to assist logistics with an area inventory plan.
  • Communicate with product and marketing managers to develop products/marketing programs to increase sales.
  • Provide reports to executive management.
  • Travel extensively throughout the area, as well as out of the area, to participate in company meetings and to represent the company at industry functions.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Minimum Requirements:Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field. 5+ years of industry sales management experience Knowledge and Skills:
  • Demonstrates breadth and depth of knowledge of customer needs and market trends, as well asknowledge of internal infrastructure and processes.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • People Management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as Outlook.
  • Keen understanding of principles and techniques of business development.

Travel: Requires up to 75% of travel This position requires occasional travel to client sites. Common hand tools might be used in this position and Personal Protective Equipment may also be a requirement.
