M-D PRO,a division of a 100-year-old legacy business, M-D Building Products, provides the broadest range of Floor Covering & Building Accessories in the industry! Our core business is a traditional line of aluminum and vinyl extruded floor transitional moldings that aid in a spectrum of installation challenges.
**Regional Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:**
Openings in:
**Southwest Region:** California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Hawaii
* Reach or exceed monthly and annual sales goals. Cultivate and develop existing customer relationships to maintain and increase sales in the territory.
* Research, identify, develop, and close new opportunities to increase sales within territory. Continually monitor and track regional sales performance.
* Provide weekly reports on sales activity plus new customer acquisition.
* Analyze and report on monthly sales outcomes.
* Strategically forecast and manage budgetary information.
* Ensure customer issues are attended to appropriately and efficiently.
* Attend cross-functional meetings where necessary that will benefit the sales department.
* Collaborate with existing local distributors to ensure proper inventory and deliveries.
* Interact directly with customers to educate them on our products and answer questions.
* Build and maintain positive client and customer relationships.
**Regional Sales Representative Qualifications:**
* 5 years in a similar outside sales role (Building Products, Flooring, and Ceramics experience preferred)
* Well-spoken, strong communicator with a proven understanding of sales development
* Exceptional and professional phone, video, and social media communication etiquette.
* Knowledge of video conferencing platforms and digital presentations a distinct advantage such as MS Team, Zoom, GoToMeeting, WebEx etc.
* Experience in the use of Computer/Software platforms such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Salesforce or similar CRM.
* Familiarity with team collaboration software such as MS Teams, SharePoint or equivalent.
* Basic mathematical calculations and formulas.
* Self-driven and self-motivated with a strong Can-do approach.
* Responsible and goal oriented, used to working under pressure and meeting plus exceeding established goals.
* Team player
* Excellent organizational skills with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Knowledge of the flooring industry is valuable but not a pre-requisite as training will be provided to the right candidate.
