They operate hydroelectric facilities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, and they're looking for someone with a steady hand, technical experience, and strong leadership ability to help oversee operations at multiple sites. The team is made up of professionals who care deeply about safety, sustainability, and service-and we know firsthand how well those values align with a military background.In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations across several hydroelectric projects, ensuring that all systems run efficiently and are in compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. You'll supervise plant employees, coordinate maintenance, manage contractors and public safety efforts, and serve as a liaison with key energy markets.You'll also play an essential role in dam security, federal inspections, emergency response plans, and environmental protection initiatives-from fishway operations to water quality testing. The position also includes administrative responsibilities like assisting with budget management, reporting, and implementing company policies. You'll be empowered to take charge, think critically, and make real-time decisions that impact energy production and community safety.The ideal candidate brings a general mechanical, engineering, and/or maintenance background with experience working on high-voltage electrical systems. Veterans who have worked with heavy equipment, performed facility maintenance, or overseen mission-critical systems will find this role familiar and rewarding. Familiarity with P&IDs, OSHA standards, electrical drawings, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems is a major plus.Physical readiness is also important, as tasks can involve heights, confined spaces, and mechanical or chemical handling. Base salary, $90K - $110K, with a10% annual bonus, relocation reimbursement available, robust benefits package with medical, dental, and vision coverage. 3 weeks of PTO.
