As a Regional General Manager at Sonder, you will find yourself with an incredible opportunity to build and manage the Sonder business across a New York City , while having an impact globally as we grow. Were looking for a leader with a demonstrated track record of exceeding goals, hiring and developing overachievers, and positively impacting their business overall. This leader will require a strong track record of leading large operationally complex businesses, mixed with a strategic background and ability to quickly find the 80 / 20 and drive impact quickly. This leader will be excited to dig in and get their hands dirty in the details, and able to step back and understand the strategic context to drive the results across numerous markets.

**AT SONDER YOU WILL:**

* Manage and lead a large group of General Managers and their teams across the Sonder footprint; while Sonder is global, this role will focus on leading New York City

* Develop the strategy for your markets, understanding the common threads and differences in each, in order to fiercely compete and win

* Build and develop strong relationships with senior cross-functional leaders (e.g., People Ops, Engineering, Finance, and Operations) You will be responsible for the P&L of your region, while needing to influence many stakeholders that will have direct inputs into that P&L

* Help scale to our other cities and countries through developing and sharing best practices

* Strong focus on developing the next generation of leaders at Sonder

**WHAT WE LOOK FOR:**

* Minimum 12 years of work experience including professional services and operations

* Minimum 3 years of experience managing a large group of leaders and driving to impact

* Rigorous, analytical and data-driven decision making capabilities

* Building and scaling a startup from the ground up

* Proven track record of managing high performance teams

* Excellent team player with strong written and verbal communication skills

* Proven ability to influence without authority, and lead cross-functionally to make your city successful

* Out-of-the-box thinker who will find creative ways to hit growth targets

* Ability to thrive in a remote market in an autonomous while while leading a local team

* This role requires regular access to a reliable smartphone, reliable transportation and willingness to travel between properties on a daily basis when working. (Reliable transportation includes biking, walking, public transportation, scooter and/or other forms of transit that provide reasonable work associated transit times between locations).
