Job Description

SAVI EHS is searching for a highly experienced and technically proficient Regional EHS Manager for a direct-hire role with a premier General Contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a critical leadership position focused on managing all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) aspects for multiple projects, with a strong emphasis on electrical safety within data center and other large-scale facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical systems, ideally with previous experience as an electrician. You will be responsible for overseeing high-risk activities related to low, medium, and high voltage systems, and commissioning of new facilities. This role requires close collaboration with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) teams and Energy Marshalls to ensure robust safety protocols are in place and followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Provide specialized EHS guidance on electrical safety, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash, and working with energized equipment.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support site-level EHS professionals across multiple projects within the region.
  • Program Oversight: Develop, implement, and audit EHS programs to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Commissioning & MEP Support: Collaborate with commissioning teams and MEP contractors to integrate safety into every phase of project execution.
  • Hazard Analysis: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with complex electrical systems and facility commissioning.
  • Strategic Partnership: Act as the primary EHS liaison with project leadership, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Training & Development: Lead advanced training sessions on electrical safety, LOTO, and other high-risk topics.
  • Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for all incidents, with a specific focus on those involving electrical hazards.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of dedicated EHS experience, with a significant background in electrical safety within large commercial or industrial settings.
  • Technical Skills: A strong technical understanding of low, medium, and high voltage systems is required. Prior experience as an electrician or a similar role is highly preferred.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in a multi-site or regional management role, with the ability to lead and influence project teams.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with MEP teams and Energy Marshalls.

Education & Certifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field is highly preferred.
  • Required: OSHA 30-Hour Construction.
  • Highly Desired: OSHA 500/510, ASP, CSP, CHST, and specific electrical safety certifications (e.g., NFPA 70E).
