Mission:

The Regional Director plays a critical leadership role responsible for leading all clinical and operational functions across Arizona. Acting as the general manager of the region, this leader drives strategy, owns financial performance (including P&L), partners on growth strategy and referral source relationship management, and ensures excellence in care delivery, team culture, and client outcomes.

Position Summary

The Regional Director is a senior operational leader with full accountability for the performance of ACES' Arizona region. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution—driving results through financial management, clinical partnership, operational excellence, and team leadership.

With a deep understanding of multi-site healthcare delivery, the Regional Director transforms data into action, cultivates a high-performance culture, and ensures alignment with enterprise goals. This role is ideal for a dynamic, mission-driven leader with the ability to run a region with the ownership mindset of a general manager.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational & Financial Leadership
  • Oversee all business operations for Arizona, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction across multiple service delivery locations.
  • Own full regional P&L and performance against key financial and operational metrics.
  • Align regional planning with enterprise strategy to drive growth, margin, and service expansion.
  • Optimize staffing models, resource utilization, and clinical access through proactive data analysis and structured decision-making.
  • Own strategy around denovo centers, expansion, and relocations.
  • Partner with client acquisition on referral source relationship development and management.
Clinical Partnership & Service Delivery
  • Partner with clinical leaders to ensure high-quality ABA services that are client-centered and outcomes-driven.
  • Support fulfillment of prescribed service hours, center-based engagement, and comprehensive care planning.
  • Promote clinical consistency and excellence across all service lines and sites.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of operational and clinical leaders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build internal leadership pipelines and ensure high engagement and retention across the region.
Strategic Collaboration & Reporting
  • Serve as a key thought partner to the Senior Vice President, helping shape and execute strategic initiatives across the state.
  • Provide actionable reports on KPI performance and offer recommendations to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Talent, Finance, Clinical, and Compliance to ensure alignment and performance.
Performance & KPI Accountability

The Regional Director is expected to drive results aligned to ACES' Purpose and Growth Potential Plan (PGP), including:

  • Number of BIs and Supervisors in service
  • Prescription fulfillment rates
  • Hours delivered per client, per BI, and per BCBA
  • New client growth with comprehensive authorizations
  • Center-based engagement and daily hours served

They are also expected to drive core financial and business metrics, including:

  • Denovo path to center profitability
  • Gross margin
  • Revenue optimization

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or related field (Master's or BCBA preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years in healthcare or ABA operations, including 2+ years of multi-site leadership experience
  • If no ABA experience, willingness to build deep knowledge around clinical and operational models
  • Proven ability to lead multi-site operations and manage P&L accountability
  • Strong command of data-driven decision-making and strategic planning
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout the region as needed – RDs are expected to spend significant in-person time with their teams
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, type, and view computer screens for extended periods
  • Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds occasionally
