Regional Continuous Improvement Quality Leader - Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions : Job Details

This role is responsible for the Implementation of multiple Quality and Operational Excellenceinitiatives within the Region in North America. This position will report directly to the Global QualityDirector for ES Services and will partner extensively with Global Supply Chain COE (Centers ofExcellence), Expert Ops COE and the Regional Leadership team they are assigned to.

A successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing practical and innovative waysto meet goals. Work may be less defined in scope and this leader will have the business acumenand experience to achieve strategic objectives. This role has the ability to affect short-term and long-term business goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes
• Address quality, service, and cost issues proactively to assure customer satisfaction and compliance to regulations
• Analyze company processes and procedures
• Perform root cause analysis of errors and discrepancies and implement corrective measures and processes
• Set clear goals, create detailed work plans, track progress, optimize resources, and monitor quality to achieve excellent results
• Create and maintain a communication plan to provide stakeholders with adequate information concerning business goals and objectives
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to enhance productivity and staff satisfaction
• Educate and coach others on Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence philosophies and applications
• Train, mentor, and guide team members in new processes
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Please note:Precedence will be placed at one of our West or South Regional Service Centers: Arlington, TX, Baytown TX, Fontana CA, Pasadena TX, Phoenix AZ, Pico Rivera CA, Salt Lake City UT, San Jose CA. While these locations are strongly preferred, candidates from outside of these areas will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to use Quality Processes such as Lean, Six Sigma

Education & ExperienceRequired:

• University degree/certificate for Engineering, Science or similar technical field
• Experience with KPIs, performance management and quality management processes
• At least 5 years of leadership experience
• At least 3 years of root cause analysis / corrective action, process optimization, or business management experience
• At least 10 years of working experience within operational excellence, Six Sigma or continuous improvement framework
• Experience working in a matrix organization

Desired Characteristics:

• Additional leadership experience in the areas of Operations, Manufacturing, or Quality is preferred
• Demonstrated commitment for process improvement
• Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

Working Conditions

• Field/industrial environments at customer sites
• Some travel required ~30%
