Refuse Driver - City of Oxnard California : Job Details

The City of Oxnards Public Works Department, Environmental Resources Division, is seeking a skilled Refuse Driver with strong driving, technical, safety, and customer service abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a range of commercial and heavy equipment vehicles, including front-end loaders, roll-off container trucks, side-loaders, and lift-gate dump trucks. A solid understanding of the mechanical and operational aspects of refuse and recycling vehicles is essential. This position is responsible for the collection, transportation, and disposal of residential, commercial, and industrial waste and recyclables. WHAT YOULL DO:Operate vehicle in accordance with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as all local, state and federal requirements and Company expectations for the Fleet; maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
